Question about last minute booking guarantee cabin

We took our family on a cruise in 2008 and booked 3 BE balcony guaranty cabins and got upgraded to BB on the Aloha deck.

 

We have a cruise planned for next year and booked a BF balcony guaranty and received a BA on Caribe deck. This will be our 3rd Princess cruise. The first we picked our cabin ahead of time.

 

I guess we have been very lucky so far.

Time frame for us: We booked last monday, this past teusday at midnight I checked and we had our room assigned. So I would say it will be assigned just over a week.

 

We booked 2 Princess cruises now and both were guar. The first time we booked the cheapest balcony and were upgraded to a BB on the Caribe deck, so it was a win. Our cruise that we just booked last week, we booked the cheapest oceanview obstructed just because it was so cheap, and we found we were upgraded to the highest full ocean view possible. Granted its on the 5th deck and she isnt too happy because its so low to the water, but we did get a good room upgrade. Good luck!

Thank you for all your posts about upgrades. We are prepared to get the lowest grade cabin there is because that is what we booked. If we do get an upgrade then we will be grateful to the upgrade fairy. Again we are just happy to be on the "Grand"
