Fort Lauderdale Hotels If u had to choose?

Hi! We are going on the 11/5 sailing of the Carnival Freedom out of Fort Lauderdale. Narrowed down the hotels to:

 

Hampton Inn and Suites Ft Lauderdale Airport 2500 Stirling Rd Hollywood $118

OR

SleepInn 1500 SE fifth Avenue Dania $ 99.99

 

both offer free breakfast, courtesy shuttle from airport/to cruiseport.

 

We are not arriving from Maine to Fort Lauderdale until 10pm on Friday November 4. So it's basically just a clean, decent, safe

place to lay our heads till next morning. Which would you choose and why?

Arriving that late I'd take the cheaper option and save the $20 for DODs the next day. Good luck! :)

I believe Hampton Inn only have a courtesy shuttle to airport. Cruise Port is $10 per adult.

If you are getting in that late go for the less expensive option.

Personally looking at the date you need, I would use lastminutetravel.com or hotwire.com and book something that lists a shuttle in its amenities. You will probably be able to do even better, value wise. But that's me. Arriving that late means that amenities in the area will mean nothing to me and any cash saved, will mean more fun elsewhere.;)

 

Just checked Last Min.travel and you can get the Crowne Plaza airport, 4 stars with airport shuttle for $75. Also there are others there which include free breakfast. Might want to check it out. If you need help knowing how to find out the hotel name, come on back.

Even if I was arriving earlier I would still pick the Sleep in Dania over the Hampton based on reviews on here. I wouldn't count on a shuttle at that time of night, but if you call the hotel, they can tell you for sure. Cheap cab from the airport at any rate.
