cool_cruiser01 Posted October 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2011 Hi - This is our first time cruising with our children (21 mo, 4, 8, and 9). Just looking for some tips and suggestions for the cruise. We are booked on the Liberty (11/26) for 7 days. The ports are Half Moon Cay, San Juan, Grand Turk, and St. Thomas. Any suggestions on excursions would be helpful as well! Thanks so much! :)
cb at sea Posted October 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2011 There's not much for the baby...but the 4, 8 and 9 year old will make great use of the kid's club...most kids that age love it. After about 12 years, they get bored with the organized activities, but yours will be prime age for all they do! HMC is a beach day....you can spend money doing "extras", but you really don't NEED to! Come and go from the ship at will. SJ is a great DIY day...there are shops and forts...lots of walking , but it's quaint! Check out the port of call boards for your other stops....they are the places to do more "offbeat" things....don't know what interests your family.....a bit of research will serve you well! Rare Essiesmom Posted October 18, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2011 Grand Turk can also be a great beach day. There are great beaches right by the dock, and a great pool at Margaritaville, but it may get crowded if there is more than one ship there.
