kidless Posted October 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I know this gets asks a million times but couldn't find a recent post on it. Going out of Port Canaveral on Monarch can I take a case of bottled water. If so can I just stick a luggage tag on it and it will get to cabin. I have seen this done on other cruises never tried it myself. I was going to order water but they want over $70 for a case which is crazy. Has anyone done this them selves recently out of this port? handbellplayer Posted October 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I don't know the answer to your bottled water question, but we are cruising with you and I am also celebrating a birthday on Thursday, 10/24!

I have been on Monarch out of Port Canaveral and brought my own water. I know I brought it because I've brought my own on ever single cruise I've been on. The procedure can vary though and I don't remember what it was here. I've tagged it and had it delivered. I've packed it alone in a duffle bag and had to go pick it up from the naughty room. I've packed it along with clothes. I've carried it on. I've even been told it couldn't be checked and then had to carry on the whole 24 pack. But no matter what, it gets on one way or another. I don't drink water with minerals in it which is why I bring my own. So I hope this doesn't turn into a "the water is perfectly fine on the ship thead". The point is, tape it up really good so the packaging doesn't tear. Tag it twice. And try to check it. If they won't allow it to be checked, then lug it on with you and carry it to your room, which isn't as convenient, but it works. Gina

Yes, just slap a luggage tag on it and you'll be fine.
struther1 Posted October 20, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2011 We have never had a problem bringing bottled water onboard with us.
Carolina_Girl Posted October 20, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 20, 2011 We are going on the Monarch from Port Canaveral on 10/24 too! I would also like to know if Royal Carribean will let you carry on water bottles with you. Like a six pack or so....
pegasusa Posted October 20, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I always bring water, but place the bottles in a shipping box and throw a luggage tag on it. It's always been delivered.

Jimnbigd Posted October 20, 2011 #9 Share Posted October 20, 2011 We took water with us on our December, 2010, Voyager of the Seas. But for some reason water was being confiscated (returned the last night to the cabin) on our March, 2011, Voyager of the Seas. Of course I think the ship's tap water is fine, but DW likes the bottled water. I'm not sure what we will do next time.
wishtdream Posted October 20, 2011 #10 Share Posted October 20, 2011 We sailed out of port Canaveral last month on Freedom. We slapped a luggage tag on a sealed case and sent it with the porter. It was delivered with the rest of our luggage. Have a great cruise
kidless Posted November 6, 2011 Author #11 Share Posted November 6, 2011 Thank you everyone. We took a six pack of larger bottles in a backpack. Carried it right on board. No problems! :D
larka Posted November 6, 2011 #12 Share Posted November 6, 2011 Just got off the Freedom. Took water and an 8 pack of Pepsi. Put it in a small suitcase with a luggage tag. No problems.
galavant3 Posted November 6, 2011 #13 Share Posted November 6, 2011 We've done it several times with no problem. As others have mentioned, we just put a luggage tag on the case and it arrived just fine. Another option is for everyone to bring insulated water bottles. That's what we will be doing for our January cruise. We find the water on board to taste just fine. With the wide mouth of the bottle, we can add ice. johneeo Posted November 6, 2011 #14 Share Posted November 6, 2011 I know this gets asks a million times but couldn't find a recent post on it. Search on "bottled water". There are literally hundreds of threads with tens of thousands of answers. Some answers are correct, some are incorrect, and some depend on if the date is an even date or an odd date, or if the ship sails before noon or after noon. Second Sundays are the direct opposite of First Saturdays. Full moons, anything goes. Crescent moons ... six packs are allowed, no cases. Half moons, only cases of 24.
