Sojourn Panama Canal transit tomorrow

The Sojourn transits the Panama Canal tomorrow (Oct 25th)

I have inquired as to the time the Sojourn will go thru' ~ will post when I receive an answer.

Always exciting to see a Seabourn ship in the locks!

Going through the Panama Canal on the Pride was a great experience -- there our little ship was in the locks dwarfed by all of the big cargo ships and cruise ships. It was also interesting to note the progress of the contsruction of the expansion. Of course Seabourn did it up right with a shipboard version of caviar in the surf. The Maitre 'd and a couple of waiters stood in the spas and served the chamapange and caviar from the surfboard. What a fun memory!

Yes, a fun and memorable experience ~ I loved watching those steel "mules" work the locks ~ I was aboard the Legend and to our surprise Seabourn hosted a cocktail affair at the Canal Headquarters ~quite interesting!

I've yet to hear from the Sojourn as to the transit times ~

The Sojourn will transit the Gatun Lock (High Resolution camera) first ~

I believe a Princess ship is in front of the Sojourn!

The island Princess is just passing the Gatun Locks webcam now, and if you view the hi-res cam full screen you can see the Sojourn in the distance already:

Looks as if the Sojourn is nearing the Gatun locks.

Sojourn is about 2.75nm from the Centennial Bridge right now. She'll be passing this webcam first on her way to the Miraflores Locks.

I believe I'm seeing the Sojourn in the far background ~approaching the Miraflores Locks ~sure hope it transits in the closer 'lane' going thru' ~ :D

Select "Clouds On" and you'll see that Rina (all her associated weather) is nowhere close to the canal.

Great pics but oh how disappointing for the Sojourn passengers. While rain is never fun it is a real shame that it is so lousy on such a special day. I remember that we were so enthralled by the transit that we pretty much parked ourselves at a table up by the Sky bar in the shade all day and watched the transit unfold.

Obviously I had checked another source before commenting on this and the comment was that the lower edge went way south. Thank you for the clarification.
