diknjoe Posted May 15, 2012 Author #29 Share Posted May 15, 2012 Thanks for posting Vjoe. Hope we have (at least) as much fun. We're advised that there will be a "Silverdaddies" group on board. Welcome y'all! Don't be shy. Maybe we can join forces for some fun on board. (FOD, LGBT Meet and Greet , etc.) Stop in and say "hello"! diknjoe Posted May 23, 2012 Author #30 Share Posted May 23, 2012 We ( Doug and Kevin -Hot Dog) and Dick and Joe have been having a discussion offline; about linking our dinner reservations. Congenial dinner companions add a lot to enjoying a cruise, and sure beat the alternative. If you would like to join us, please send an e-mail to diknjoe@tampabay.rr.com if you're interested. hotdog647 Posted May 24, 2012 #31 Share Posted May 24, 2012 Vjoe the video was superb!! Don't think there is a way it could be topped this year. I'm glad we are making the crossing this fall-next year Royal is cutting back on port calls. We will probably pick up a car in one or more of the ports to do our own tour. Anyone interested in sharing? Doug

kcrandy Posted June 7, 2012 #34 Share Posted June 7, 2012 Hey Hey Hey Hey!!! I booked this cruise Monday. I have been reading through the RCCL 10/27/12 thread. Onlyup to page 78 of 177. Still a ways to go to get current. I decided to cheat and cum here to see who was worth talking to. My name is Randy. I live in Kansas City, MO. I was on last falls Navigator of the Seas Transatlantic. I met Doug ( of Doug & Kevin ) & Bob on that cruise. I will be roomines with Bob on this cruise. I think Doug is getting all of us connected to eat dinner together. Give me some time and I will get some activities planned for different ports and see who wants to join in. Suggestions would be appeciated. Anyone else speding a few days in Barcelona before the cruise? We need to get together and go out while we are there. Got to get ready for work. diknjoe Posted June 8, 2012 Author #35 Share Posted June 8, 2012 Randy: Welcome aboard! I'm Dick and Joe ( the handsome asian dude) is my partner. I'm gathering data for the dinner arrangements. As I understand the process, we all need to contact our respective travel agents (etc) to make this happen. If you like, send me your name (s) booking number and room number, if you have it, along with your e-mail address . and I'll get them out to everyone at the appropriate time. hotdog647 Posted June 9, 2012 #38 Share Posted June 9, 2012 I'm counting on KCRandy to read through all the regular CruiseCritic messages-I have been so lax in all of this. He can update us on the important things. For everyone who hasn't read through the 3500+ posts, Barb has organized tours from Cadiz to Seville and from Malaga to Granada and the Alhambra. Spain Day Tours gives CruiseCritics some tremendous discounts on their tours. Additionally there are lots of activities for the CruiseCritic group such as a cabin crawl, meet & mingle, martini tasting, poker run, slot pull and recently added cruising for dummies seminar. Be sure to check the other side of the CruiseCritic Roll Call if you haven't done so, and sign up for the Meet and Mingle. It's fun, and a great way to make new friends on the cruise and scope out people to meet. Plus you have the chance to win fabulous prizes! kcrandy Posted June 15, 2012 #42 Share Posted June 15, 2012 Kinda quiet here. I have been in communication with 5 of you on the ship already. I am gathering information so we can see who will be on the ship and an easy reference to communicate with one another should we choose to do so prior to the cruise. We can see who will be dining at what times ( this makes it easier to go to shows together etc ). We can share information on what excursions or interests we have at the ports. Organize shore excursions if there is the interest. We can easily share information & ideas. Any "must see's" or "don't waste your time" from previous travelers is always helpful. Hopefully I can get some activites planned on the ship as well. Just throwing out some ideas: casino ping pong shuffleboard play cards work out flowRider rock-climbing wall ice-skate play mini golf meet & hang out at the pool have cocktails stargaze. Please email me at happyrock8 @ hotmail dot com. ( Delete the spaces and replace dot with . ) Just email me to say hi. If you do not want your email address shared, please let me know. I can always blind copy in emails. Thanks, Randy

diknjoe Posted July 17, 2012 Author #45 Share Posted July 17, 2012 Hello Mick: I think the first thing you need to do is change your reservation to early dining. Otherwise if we link with you , we might all end up messed up. I responded to your e-mail with the rest of the steps needed to get this done. I will be arriving on the morning of cruise and wondering how far the cruise terminal is from the airport, doesnt look that far on the map ( lol famous last words :o ) would it be easy just to get a taxi or book a transfer before i leave home, any advice would be appreciated. Dick i linked the reservation numbers and looks like it went through so hopefully will be joining yous at early seating. Hi to everyone else, looking forward to meeting you all, Randy the activites you've mentioned all sound good especially the "have cocktails" see you,s onboard Mick: You may be linked to us; but from my understanding of the process: each of us has to link to you as well, or it won't work. It's a total pain , but if you will answer my e-mail we can get it done. If you like, I can re-send my e-mail. Now to your previous questions. 1. You can sign up for excursions on board, (Explorations Deck 5 aft). 2. The airport is about half an hour from the port. We purchased a transfer from Royal, but there are plenty of taxi's available.
