Excursion question

Hi. Counting down the days till I set sail!!
Lets say I book the universal studio excursion through NCL. Then lets say the ship cant dock that day due to what ever the reason, do I get charged for that excursion??

really simple.

unless stated otherwise. most excursions are only charged to your shipboard account after they are completed.

otherwise you will not get charged if it is cancelled.

NOTE: if you decide that you want to cancel your participation in an excursion YOU MUST write CANCEL on your excursion ticket AND return it to the shore excursion desk 24HRS before that trip. if you don't...you'll have one heck of a time trying to get them to not charge your account. trust me...i know. and luckily i was able to get them to reverse the charge.

you only pay for the tour if it is taken
If it is cancel you do not get changed anything!
The last night you will receive in your cabin a BIll of every item billed to your account.
If anything is wrong the next morning you can go to the Purser & get it sqaure away. You are never billed for anything you did not purchashed. But it is wise to check your bill carefull Mistake do happen. Also on there will be the tips for cabin stewart Busboy waitor ETC!

This is where NCL excels over other cruise lines. Last year I prebooked all my excursions before we left and NCL does not charge you until after you actually take the excursion. We DID change our mind on one, and were able to return it, no problemo. This year, we are taking a RCCL cruise and there is one excursion that we really really want to do, the America's Cup Race. . .BUT if you want to reserve it, RCCL credits your credit card right there and then. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif[/img] This is one of those excursions where there are only a limited number of spaces so, I booked it. . .but I was not a happy camper.

JUST HEED MY WORDS REGARDING CANCELLATION PROCEDURES. if you had the "stellar" group i had behind the shore excursion desk on the Wind 3 weeks ago...you're in for a real showdown.

As long as you return tickets to the shore excursion desk prior to the cancellation deadline you will have no problems - after this deadline then you will be charged!(unless for a medical reason). Easy eh? [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif[/img]
