RaceAddict Posted November 2, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2011 Just a quick note to anyone interested that the Coral Princess will be going through the Panama Canal tomorrow (Thursday) and you can watch quite a bit of the process on the canal webcams throughout the day. http://www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/camera-java.html?cam=Miraflores

RaceAddict Posted November 3, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted November 3, 2011 I don't see too many people up to enjoy the experience... maybe the higher resolution images later will be better.

dagama10 Posted November 3, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 3, 2011 Great pics! Reminds me of our canal crossing in Dec. 09. Really illustrates why it's a "panamax" ship. From your avatar it looks like you're a rally fan too; so am I!

RaceAddict Posted November 3, 2011 Author #9 Share Posted November 3, 2011 The Centennial Bridge webcam seems to be randomly pointed at some trees... usually they aim that cam to view the cruise ships going through the Pedro Miguel Locks on their way towards the bridge. http://www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/camera-java.html?cam=CerroLuisa From your avatar it looks like you're a rally fan too; so am I! Definitely a fan... and part time Control Marshal as well. My wife and I spend several weekends a year travelling to events to work in the stages (last year we worked at all six national events across Canada) as well as being on the organizing committees of 2 national events here in Quebec. Love.II.Cruise Posted November 3, 2011 #10 Share Posted November 3, 2011 That ship looks like a ghost town. Great pics though.
WMWarrior Posted November 3, 2011 #11 Share Posted November 3, 2011 Thank you for the post and the awesome pictures. We will be on the Holiday Sailing this year. I saw the balcony of the cabin we have booked. Can't wait to experience the canal in person.
ibfern Posted November 3, 2011 #12 Share Posted November 3, 2011 Thanks for the great pics, I can't believe how uncrowded that ship is! Where are all the people?

RaceAddict Posted November 3, 2011 Author #14 Share Posted November 3, 2011 She's still about 6 miles from the Gatun Locks now, but I'll probably have to be out of the office later so won't be able to capture any pics of her exiting the canal. Shown here in Pedro Miguel Locks, picture taken from the west side of the Canal in the area for the new channel that will feed into the new lock.
