Time frame for new online VISA points?

I want to cash in 5,000 pts. for OBC for a cruise on Dec. 4. How close to the sail date is safe for me to do this and have it show up properly, please?

Kay - I would do it now. We cashed ours in about 40 days prior to our upcoming cruise. It is a very easy process and you will get a confirmation number.

I have to admit I called the C&A desk after about 2 weeks just to make sure it was posted:D;)

I thought I read that you had to cash them in 90 days prior to the cruise. Less than 30, seems like a tight squeeze. Personally, it's only 50 bucks, I would save it, and use it next time, and I would apply that well in advance of the cruise. (although I seem to recall you should not do it more than 6 months before)

 

BTW - the new online process is easy, but, that still means that data has to get from BofA to RCI.

I did mine last weekend for a Dec. 5th cruise...received the confirmation email the next day...when I call C&A to order my D+ Amenity I will check to be sure it posted...

I just looked on the RCCL website and it said that just cash in your points online and they will send you a confirmation and send the reward points to rccl within 24 to 48 hrs. You'll be fine. Just do it tomorrow if you want.

We have a 1/07/2012 cruise on Voyager, is it safe for me to cash in points for the bottle of champaign & strawberries? that is one of the few things that is a better deal than the 5000 points=$50 :confused::D

I cashed our 10 days prior to our cruise back in October on Oasis. I think on the website it says you must do it 7 days prior.

 

I wouldn't do any sooner than a month before.
