EMMOM Posted November 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2011 Well I finally booked our first royal carribean cruise on the oasis for aug 4th. It is for my sons high school graduation and its myself, dh and ds14. We have been on 2 disney cruises and 5 carnival cruises, it was hard to convince everyone to give royal a try, but i did it anyway :p:p. We are in cabin #3244, has anyone ever been in this cabin? any pictures of it? My only concern is it seems to be below the casino, I am a little nervous it might be noisy has anyone ever been below casino? how was it? My other option was a central park balcony, but we like to be able to see the ocean and also figured the central park view wouldnt be very private. Any opinions about cabins would be greatly appreciated. :):):) WOOT WOOT, I am sooooo excited!!!!
Ocean Boy Posted November 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2011 We stayed on deck 3 on Oasis just a few cabins up from where you are. We never heard a sound from anything above us. I don't think you will have any issues at all. If the set-up of the room matters to you according to my calculations your cabin should have the beds set up my the closets and the sitting area by the windows. Initially I thought I would prefer the opposite but I actually prefer this set-up. It does make it a little more difficult to get into the closet but it is better for views out of the window. When the beds are by the window you have to kneel on one of the beds in order to look out. If you have any other questions just ask away.
EMMOM Posted November 18, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted November 18, 2011 Ocean Boy, wow thank you very much for your feed back. I hope our room is set up with the couch near the window that would be great. Also, on carnival in the 4 people cabins the couch turns into a bed and they pull a bed down from the ceiling, are the cabins on royal the same way do you know? Thanks in advance :D:D
Ocean Boy Posted November 18, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2011 To tell you the truth, I am not sure about the 4 person rooms on Oasis. On many of the other classes of RCI ships two beds can be pulled down from the ceiling. However, Oasis/Allure have new style cabins that are very different from previous ships in the fleet and I just never looked into, or took notice of, a 4 person cabin on Oasis. sealover61 Posted November 22, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 22, 2011 You all will Love The Oasis of the Seas. We had done 3 Cruises on Carnival Ships. Then we tried Royal with Freedom of the Seas, then we did a B2B on the Oasis, and I will tell you that 7 nights isn't long enough to enjoy the Oasis. dz9yvr Posted November 22, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 22, 2011 I don't think 3244 is a very good choice for you. If I had 2 teenagers I would go with the 2 Pullman beds and not the sofa bed for the kids.

We had only cruised Carnival before and now after sailing RCCL/Oasis, it makes it really hard to ever go back to Carnival. Check out my review......it's minus the pictures because I knew my friend would do a really long review with all the pics. Mine is more of a "thoughts/opinions from a virgin RCCL cruiser" type of review. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1507903 I am pretty sure you will love it!!
