We went on a land vacation to Aruba. We loved El Gaucho, an Argentinian style steakhouse, where they bring unlimited servings of various grilled meats - tenderloin, lamb, chicken, etc. The sides and salads were also delicious. Go hungry.

For authentic "Aruban" food, the Coco Plum is excellent!

Both are in Oranjestad.

Hi,:) is this the place right along the main street? When you disembark

the ship? I had lunch with a friend here before (I think)...they have

an area upstairs and the view is great and the food is wonderful too:D

This reply may seem odd, but when in the islands, we always eat "street"

food. We've had some of the best tasting chicken anywhere both in St Kitts and in St Maarten. The ladies grilling the chicken are amazing and so very friendly.

Our last trip to St Maarten we had lunch on a side street "shack" had a wonderful time talking to the woman running the food stand and her daughter. The tables were simple, the "china" not fancy, simple plastic tablecloths and mismatched silverware. Save the fancy for the ship, what a great lunch and converstation. The Presidente beer was ice cold too! We got from her that so few tourists stop at these places because they are afraid of something, don't know why? Have no fear and enjoy!!
