Because of our flight that day, we won't be getting on the ship until 4:00. Does anyone know if the first night will be open dining or assigned dining time? Thanks! I had any time dining and they made everyone in the Atlantice Dining room eat on deck 3 the first night (even though the rest of the cruise, I was on deck 4). I think the hours were 6:30 to 8:30, could be a little off on the time tho. They sail at 10 and they do the muster just before you sail (except on our sailing last year "Super Bowl Sunday", they did it when we left St Thomas the next night). I did the Victory cruise in May 2009. Booked all independent excursions, flew down a day early and did some sightseeing before boarding; stayed an extra couple of days to recover from that port-a-day itinerary. If you haven't booked excursions, I highly recommend every single one I did. Great excursions for a fraction of what Carnival wants. Feel free to read my review (click my name, then stats tab, then threads I've started). I tried to be very detailed. After visiting one of the forts and having lunch at La Bombanero (a do-not-miss for me), we checked in, left the ship to wander around some more and have a drink.
