Nylon garment bag?

Hope this doesn't sound tacky - but - to eliminate another piece of actual luggage I want to use a nylon garment bag that folds in half. Is this possible or too tacky?

We are driving to the port and my thinking is that we can then "scrunch" it into one of the suitcases for the return flight from Europe instead if having extra baggage to carry around.

Any comments?

Thanks in advance

Pat

You can carry on as many carry ons as you want. Personally, I travel very light. I came with just a carry on for Oasis today when I arrived in Florida. If you feel you need it, bring it. I usually bring a backpack for my camera and such, but even left it and my larger purse at home this trip.
