Candy Posted December 5, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2011 One month out is about time for the consolidators to turn in their unsold cabins, and HAL will reassess their inventory and offer upsells, then GTY upgrades. You should get your cabin number in a week or two, but don't be upset if you have to wait until you get to the pier to find out. Candy

ClevelandOhio Posted December 5, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2011 I have been looking at availability of the cruise im going on on the 8th jan,It is coming up no availabilities,,does that mean the ship is full or is it because they are allocating cabins,I am still waiting for my cabin number,as anyone else experienced this, many thanks The same thing happened to us two years ago. We came back from a long trip to Europe and had not scheduled a mid winter cruise before our departure. I could find NOTHING on line. I turned it over to my travel agent and broadened the search to the Celebrity, HAL, Princess, and Cunard. She was able to come up with NOTHING. Then we dropped down a couple notches to NCL and could only get a 7 day cruise. We wanted 10 or more but nothing was available on NCL, even on back to backs. We went on NCL and well it was warm. :) NCL surely isn't my favorite but we had a pretty good time and enjoyed avoiding the cold Ohio weather. Good luck! tcook052 Posted December 6, 2011 #8 Share Posted December 6, 2011 FWIW there was loads of space available on my Ryndam sailing on 8th Jan. before HAL closed or waitlisted almost all categories overnight but don't believe it's because the ship is full but rather HAL is working out the cabin assignments & upsells and close the sailing off to sales to do that.
