Sky Suites on Solstice

I apologize if this has been covered a lot. Where should we book a sky suite on the Solstice?

 

Should I book midship on Resort Deck 12? Or is there noise from the Ocean view Cafe above it?

 

Or should I move down a dek to Penthouse Deck 11, but would have to be all the way in the rear?

 

I'm talking about Australia. I know the seas could be very rough.

 

Any advice would be most appreciated.

I was asking the same question for the Silhouette. In the end I booked on deck 11 as opposed to 12 (I had the aft corner suite). I didn't hear much noise since the sound of the waves drowned some of it out. You do occasionally hear people talking but I didn't find it that noisy. If you want to be safe then book on deck 11, but I personally didn't find the sounds from the Oceanview Cafe that disruptive.

Remember, corner SS's are also on other decks.

 

We had one on deck 7 (7356) on Equinox.

Absolutely loved it. ;)

 

Would book it again without any worries. :D

We had suite 2120 on our April 2011 sailing and it was amazing. I was little concerned about the noise from above in the Ocean View Cafe but it was never a problem.

 

I was also a little concerned about the elevators being so close to 2120 and there being a lot of noise but we never heard a thing.

 

We absolutely loved this suite and if and when we sail Solstice again it will be in a Sky suite.

We had a corner Sky Suite, 2146 on Solstice. It is great. The balcony is bigger and wraps around the side and, there is a large porthole on the side for extra light.

I must say that it is a long way to the elevators but quite manageable. There was a wee bit of table and chair noise on nights when the next day was a sea day because people tended to stay up longer but, it was not unbearable at all. Some people complained but we don't live in a vacuum and can take a bit of livelihood around us LOL.

What kind of perks do u get with a suite? On rccl we had reserved seating at the pool, a free cocktail hour everynight, priority everything even at the shows, bearfoot beach cabana options, along with the perks that i can find on celeb. Any input would be very helpful.

We really didn't take advantage of having a butler but after we got home I found this thread about just that thing.
