How was the weather, waves, temp first few days?

We're going on a cruise from LA to Hawaii and back in a few weeks, and wondering about the first few days on board the ship. Is it warm enough to lie out by the pool, or should I forget about that? Also, what was your experience with "motion on the ocean?"

 

Making my final plans and just trying to figure this out. Thanks for any advice.

Hi Pam,

We are on the same cruise, if it's the Queen Victoria from LA on December 21st. I'm expecting the first couple of days will be cool. Having sailed from San Diego before (once to LA) in the winter, I know the first sea day will be quite cool, (68/19). There is a thread about this on the Queen Victoria roll call

Thanks a lot, Bruce! That's kind of what we've been hearing, just trying to finalize my packing list and had no idea what to expect there. I've been lurking on the roll call lately, haven't posted in a while and need to. See you on board!
