Age Requirements for excursions

Does anyone know how strict the age requirements are for excursions? There are a few excursions that have a minimum age of 5yo. The day before she turns 5 we will be in Grand Turk and some of the excursions I am interested in have a 5 year minimum age. Will they let it slide, because it is the day before, or is it set it stone. I just am trying to plan and want to have an idea of what we can and can't do.

 

We will be on the Carnival Pride, if that matters.

Odds are, it is set in stone, for no reason other than liability purposes.

 

However, it doesn't hurt to ask the shore excursion manager once onboard.

If you booked tours through private/independent tour operators, they are much more accommodating with children. EX: We took a private island tour in Grand Cayman, which included a boat trip out to Stingray Sandbar, and DD was only 2. No problem at all.
