terry55 Posted September 21, 2012 #26 Share Posted September 21, 2012 So glad to read this thread. Will be on Eclipse in April and booked CS 1114. Having knee surgery in January and thought this would be a perfect, mid ship location to enjoy with a beautiful suite!!

Rare TLCOhio Posted September 22, 2012 #31 Share Posted September 22, 2012 Here is more the Celebrity Suite on the Solstice-class ships. See visuals below. Other features/factors? More Room?: of 394 sq. ft versus 194 sq. ft. with the regular room (not counting balcony). That means the large siting area with a double-sized, full-length open door view out, plus about three times the closet space including a smaller closet for coats and other items off of the main hallway in, a separate sleeping area that can be closed off if others are visiting your suite, bath with a full tub with above, in-ceiling rain shower head type of option in addition to the wall shower head (not just a shower-only set-up), two doors into the bath area, plus a balcony of 105 sq. ft versus 54 sq. ft. with the concierge/regular balcony. The CS has a larger round table out there, plus a lounge chair. With "creativity", the staff can probably find an added chair or two for out there to better entertain, enjoy etc. in this location. On closet with Celebrity Suite, you get that larger, walk-in closet. Other Factors/Pluses?: Better, more handy location right in the middle of the ship, closer to the main, best elevators. Less walking along boring, long corridors, etc. Better quality Bulgari luxury bath amenities versus their in-house brand in the Concierge balcony rooms. Below are some visuals I've pulled from the web to offer more details and ideas on what you get with the Celebrity Suite. THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio Did a June 7-19, 2011, Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Enjoyed great weather and a wonderful trip. Dozens of wonderful visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc., on these postings. We are now at 104,126 views for this live/blog re-cap on our first sailing with Celebrity and much on wonderful Barcelona. Check these postings and added info at: http://www.boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1426474 Here are four different visuals in connect with Solstice 1235. First a blow-up of the deck plan for the tenth floor. This room is very close to the central part of the ship and key elevator group, library, etc. Second is a cut-away for the room lay-out, two doors to the bathroom, walk-in closet, sitting area, large balcony, etc. Third is a balcony view. Where you see the four people, including the one person in a red shirt, is suite 1253 with the double-size balcony to the left of the top part of the “X”. Finally, here’s an interior room with plenty of room to relax, see the views through the glass, etc. .:
scotslizzy Posted September 22, 2012 #32 Share Posted September 22, 2012 We have picked this CS (on S class ships) on more than one occassion and the balcony is bigger then the CS cabin next door. Room size is the exact same . Last year we were given an upgrade to a Royal Suite and as someone else posted earlier the bathroom was to die for but the balcony although bigger and included a jacuzzi bath did not match the balcony on CS 1618 . MEcruzr Posted September 22, 2012 #33 Share Posted September 22, 2012 ROTFLMAO! When/where was the photo of the ship taken, does anyone know?? Look at the top right of the X... see the women waving? That's me and my mom. Too funny!
Cruise a holic Posted September 22, 2012 #34 Share Posted September 22, 2012 Has anyone stayed in a Celebrity Suite? We usually stay in a sky suite but are considering a CS. feedback? Recently stayed in a celebrity suite on the Summit. It was great. Having also previously stayed in a Sky Suite which was nice, it didn't compare the the CS. The CS has a separate bedroom, fancy bathroom and a true living/dining room. THey also recently added a nice albeit not huge balcony. Other people have previously discussed this. My only negative comment is that the bath is a deep whirlpool bath/shower combo, which was great for my husband and I, but if you are very short or infirm, it could present a problem.
