Southern Caribbean Iten. - Where would you dive?

Hello all,

 

My wife and I will be sailing on the Carnival Victory in Feburary. Of the following ports, which of the three would you dive. We would really like to dive wrecks, preferably not too deep. Thanks a lot for your help! It is greatly appreciated.

 

St. Thomas, USVI

Barbados

St. Lucia, WI

St Kitts, WI

St. Maarten, NA

My preferences, in order, are St. Lucia, St. Thomas, and Barbados. I haven't dived at St. Kitts or St. Maarten, so I don't know about those. But, St. Lucia is beautiful underwater at The Pitons.

My choices would be

1 St. Lucia

2 St. Thomas

St. Maarten is not too bad either.

My choices would be in this order. I have dove them all many times.

 

St Lucia- but get out to the dives by the pitons. Those are the best on the island as far as I am concerned

 

St. Thomas- Like diving there as they have some really nice wrecks with great growth on them. The wit shoal is a great dive if the current isn't wipping

 

St. Kitts-They have a lot of great small stuff. They have some great guides that always seem to find the seahorses, frogfish etc.

 

Barbados- Lots of turtles and great sponge formations.

 

St. Maarten- Has the least healthy reef system. A couple of nice dives but if the weather isn't great the other sites aren't worth it. They do have a nice shark dive there as well.
