Recent Dream cruisers

I just read a review on the review board and a cc member said the one bottle of wine was not allowed, and they took hair dryers. This may sound funny but I hate the dryers on the ship, not enough power. As for the wine I have never read that. Can anyone tell me if they encountered this. We cruise on 1/07/12 and are so ready. Thanks so much!

We sailed on 10/1/11 and we never got our hair dryer taken from us. It was packed in with the rest of the clothes, no hidden or anything {I hate the ones they provide as well}

 

As far as wine goes, I can't help you there.

We always bring a bottle of wine pp in our carry on----never had any trouble. Maybe something changed?

 

I don't bring a hair dryer, so I don't know about that.

My guess is that either the wine was 1.75 liters instead of the 750 ML, or the wine was the right size but was in the suitcase and not in a carryon.

 

I don't like the hairdryers onboard, but I use them anyway. Sorry that I can't help with the dryer part.

We had no problems in October bringing wine in our carry on. We made sure we only had the .750ml per person.

 

I always bring my own hairdryer because I do hate the ones on the ship.

Thanks I thought the same thing. That maybe the bottle of wine was over 750ml. I always put my hairdryer in my suitcase and it is has never been a problem. Thanks so much. Crisis averted! lol

I was on the Dream last July. My hair dryer was packed in my luggage and never questioned. We also carried on (3) bottles of champagne in our carry on and NO questions asked!

I was on the same itinerary as that reviewer and I had no trouble getting my wine through. Even the 4 others with us sailed right through. I don't know what the problem was with the other person's wine.

I've had zero issues taking my hairdryer or wine on the Dream... Enjoy your cruise!

I agree that the wine was probably either the wrong size or was packed in the checked luggage. Port Canaveral has not even checked our carry-on bottles the past 2 cruises.
