BillPizzaiolo Posted January 1, 2012 #26 Share Posted January 1, 2012 We took classes on all our Marina Cruises starting with the Maiden Voyage. There are some great photos and information that Chef Kelly put up on her blog at http://www.oceaniacruisesblog.com/taste/bon-appetit-culinary-center/ I think she must have photos of everything they have done so far. It is very informative for those with that interest. It has become a very very popular activity on board.
Rare LHT28 Posted January 1, 2012 #27 Share Posted January 1, 2012 Can anyone tell me what these classes cost? Just want to keep a running tab prior to our cruise. Thank you. http://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/marina/lifestyle/bonappetit.aspx
pacheco18 Posted January 1, 2012 #28 Share Posted January 1, 2012 We had different classes on the Transatlantic from those mentioned in the above link. I suppose they mix things up. When you go to your sailing you will see what is being offered for your cruise. I believe some of the classes are geared to the itinerary. On our cruise, the paella class was very popular -- there were 2 different sessions. There were classes Greek, Italian, French (bistro and classical) cuisine, a separate pasta class -- as well as classes on cooking menu items from the Oceania restaurants. It's all good. Every class included techniques.
dincus Posted January 2, 2012 #29 Share Posted January 2, 2012 How far in advance can the cooking classes be booked? Today is 45 days until we cruise and we just made our specialty restaurant reservations this morning but we've been trying all weekend to book some cooking classes and it says they are unavailable. Just call O or get your TA to book them for you It could be the online booking system was shut down over the holiday
