GTO-Girl Posted December 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2011 I'm trying to find out the difference between a 6A oceanview & a 6M deluxe oceanview. Is it just the location or is a 6M a bigger cabin? Thanks!!!
firefly333 Posted December 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2011 Without looking it up, off the top of my head, if 6Ms are the quads with 2 bathrooms, they are 10 s.f. larger and accomodate 5 people, and fewer people may not be allowed to book these, depends on how the cruise is filling. regular are 220 s.f. .. and I think the quads are 230 s.f. scchasgal Posted December 30, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2011 The 6A's are regular oceanview staterooms the 6M's are the deluxe oceanviews that have two bathrooms. They are not all quads some are for max two passengers.
jmcancruise Posted December 30, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 30, 2011 We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms in 2010. We had originally booked a 6a but were able to take a free upgrade through ES. There were only 2 of us and it was amazing. Each had their own bathroom. There was an xtra closet. There was a curtain dividing the bed area from the rest of the cabin. Only complaint with the cabin. It had a flat screen tv that faced the couch and was really difficult to watch from the bed. I know on our cruise those cabins sat unspoken for till the very end. I suspect they probably fill quickly on weeks when there are lots of children on board. Otherwise you might be able to pick them up quite quickly even if you are only a couple. nwcruiselover Posted December 31, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 31, 2011 I was in a 6M (deluxe ocean view) on the Dream and it was awesome. So nice to have 2 bathrooms for the 2 of us ladies. The one we had was oversized and had 2 large picture windows. For the slight difference in price over a regular OV cabin, I would always book a deluxe OV.
