Noisy cabin? Directly above casino on Freedom

Hi,

Anyone ever been in 6312 on the Freedom directly above the casino? Or on another similar class ship?

Is it noisy?

I didnt look where it is, but have been above the casino, no noise.

 

I have read if you are above where the band plays, that sound carries.. on the starboard side where the band stand is, near the casino bar.

Our friends stayed in a cabin above the casinos when we were on the Freedom (not sure what room number)and they said they didn't hear anything..we were in their room a couple of times and didn't hear anything either.

 

Although our friend's daughter just got off the Dream and they were above it and said they DID hear some noise, but not enough to disrupt their sleep.

 

So it may depend on the room and what exactly is below it and how good your hearing is??

The only time we had a problem with noise was when we were on deck 6 and our cabin was right above the band in the nightclub (port, aft). many nights we're up enjoying the band but when you want to get up early for an excursion it's not so much fun!:eek:

dan, how did things work out with cabin location???

I was in a room on the Miracle below the casino and we must have been right below the machines with moveable chairs because that's all we heard most of the night...chairs scraping the floor..ugh even with ear plugs !! Never again!

We were in 6299 and I could hear the casino. People cheering. We must have been either above the craps or roulette table. I'm a light sleeper though.

We were in 6363 and 6367 on the Liberty and were directly above the band. We could hear them clear as day in our room, but luckily they were actually really good and stopped by 12:30. Other than that not a peep.:)
