meripour Posted January 5, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2012 Can anyone tell me what the minimum and maximum betting limits were on the Princess casino table games. Are their limits standard throughout the fleet or ship specific? Do they have a poker room on board?
Vexorg Posted January 5, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2012 If I recall correctly, most tables were $5 minimum, $200 max, although I think they also have some $10 minimum Blackjack tables. As for poker, they have a PokerPro electronic poker table in the casino, but I haven't ever tried it out. I hear the rake makes it difficult to get ahead, so I'd probably stick to tournaments. Loonbeam Posted January 5, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2012 While $5 is common, the limits are at the discretion of the casino host at any time, who may raise them based on demand (or lower them, they had a $2 beginners table for a few hours) Can anyone tell me what the minimum and maximum betting limits were on the Princess casino table games. CO in MD Posted January 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2012 Rake tends to be high. Have heard 5-10%, but have only seen a 5%, after $20 US in pot. Tornaments usually 2 per 7-day cruise, one of $60 entry, one of $100, pay 1st and 2nd place, 40 of 60, and 80 of 100 to prize pool. 10-person tournament only. Needs seperate loadable cash card. Usually one table, tho have seen 2 used for no-limit, since having a limit only table no longer attracts players, a shame since dealers tend to add camaraderie. As usual its all about the $$ for the line, but the experience is not as good w/o live dealers. Play ranges from horrible no-fold em (yes, even tho no-limit) to rock grinder. If you are a poor player, don't try to learn on these tables. If you are a decent player (by that I mean a steady winner) they can be lucrative. Tells can be easier to notice I've found, but you need to be aware of where the $ settings are to watch how the player loads a raise. Good luck. Jersey42 Posted January 8, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2012 Needs seperate loadable cash card. They used to make you get a separate PokerPro card. In June on the Caribbean Princess, your regular cruise card was used at the poker table.
