upgrade at check in

I asked this question earlier but, being new at this, I posted my question in the wrong spot. My DH & I are going on the Legend out of Tampa in April. Do they ever give you an upgrade at check in if you ask?

I have not heard of it happening.

In 99% of the cases, the answer is NO.

 

Most of the cruises are sold out prior to boarding. Lately, there has been a sign at the Guest Services desk on embarkation day that reads "No Upgrades Available" or something to that effect.

 

Your best chances is the Upgrade Fairy who may call a week or two before your trip!

It never hurts to ask. All they can say is no.

However, if they say yes, it will probably be

the premium price.

Ship sold out prior to sailing so unless some sort of weather problem that causes lots of people to miss the ship you aint moving.

We didn't ask, but we were actually upgraded at check in....from an OV to a balcony. It was our 1st cruise...CCL was smart, we have booked a balcony cabin ever since!!

Never happened too us but freinds went from an inside to balcony on a call while driving to port (not quite at checkin). We were upgraded to the Owner Suite on the Ecstasy after leaving the dock. We were paged and thought something had happened at home:eek:
