Quick question re booking shore excursions

Recommended Posts

I can't recall from previous cruises.... I'm drawing a total blank so your help would be greatly appreciated!

When booking excursions thru the RCCl website, do they ask for a charge card to be immediatley charged or are they put on the seapass card as part of your balance owed at the end of the cruise?

Thanks!

Any shore excursions booked before the cruise will have to paid for at that time. Any excursion booked on the ship will go on your Sea Pass account. Some people have lots of OBC that they want to use up so they wait until they are on the ship to book excursions. If the excursion is something that you really want to do, book it ahead of time to make sure you have a spot reserved.

What happens if you book beach shore excursion (thru royal) ahead of time then when you go it rains do you get a refund or you out of luck?

If it's just a beach excursion you're out of luck. After all, the beach will still be open, it just won't be the nicest of weather. If an excursion has to be canceled because of bad weather (or any other valid reason) you will be reimbursed.

If they cancel, you are refunded. If you cancel within the allowed time period, you will get a refund. If you just don't show, you're out of luck! If you have OBC you want to use for the excursion, you have to wait until you are onboard before using an onboard credit!
