trlagt Posted February 5, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2012 We would appreciate info from cruisers presently on the Marina. Would you check the daily activities program and see what type of bridge play is offered. We are interested in duplicate bridge with directors and instruction. Thank you. sitraveler Posted February 5, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2012 Cruisers on board almost never check cc. Its a costly waste of money. Bridge instructors are contract employees for 1 cruise at a time and wouldn't generally be there for the next cruise. Port intensive cruises tend not to have organized bridge. Rare LHT28 Posted February 5, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2012 Q: Will we have bridge hosts on Marina? A: Bridge Directors for guests wishing to play duplicate or social Bridge may be available on crossings and longer voyages depending on cruise availability. The directors are ACBL Certified Bridge Masters who may also offer beginning and advanced bridge lectures on sea days. However, we are unable to confirm the availability of a bridge director prior to a specific cruise since it is on a space available basis only. http://www.oceaniacruises.com/guestservices/faq.aspx?Cat=All
oursbrun Posted February 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2012 Just returned from Jan 23rd. 12 night CaribbeanMarina. There was no official instruction or organization, from what was announced and what I saw there was a time (varied)and place set aside for social bridge play. Hope that helps Tricia Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk
jorich Posted February 18, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2012 Just returned from Marina 4th -16th Feb Caribbean Pearls. Although I am a Bridge player there was far too much going on & too much sunshine for me to play ! From what I remember there were bridge lessons & social duplicate Bridge virtually every day.
