Great review, and wonderful pictures! Congratulations on your engagement!!!! PS-may I ask what kind of camera you have???

I do believe the pics above are my favorites (oh and the one of your ring on the deck)...Congrats again!!! Thanks for taking the time to post.

Thank you! I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-H55 with 14.1 mega pixels. I'm going to do a review for my upcoming cruise and this time I will take more food pictures! There is even a "food setting" on my camera. LOL!

Thanks for the review. I especially liked that you included pics of the Airboat and Alligator excursion because that's the one we'll be doing when we go on the Pride in October. DW has always wanted to see an alligator in the wild. How far were you from that gator?

The alligator was on the side of the river and we were in the middle. The river isn't very big, so we were pretty close. I did use my zoom to get a better shot of him. We also saw more than one, but this was the one that I best captured on film. Our airboat was the last to leave and our guide said that the alligators were maybe scared away by the other airboats, but with a little patience (and a good guide) he found some for us. :)

We ate breakfast on the Lido Deck and then came back to the stateroom. I told my boyfriend I wanted to go to the shore excursions desk to book an excursion for Freeport. Right before we left the room, he hugged me from behind and said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I said "that's good." LOL. I was too busy trying to figure out what to do in Freeport when I then noticed him pulling out a small box. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I started hysterically half crying/half laughing. Then my eyes were so blurry I couldn't see the ring through my tears. I squeaked out a yes and grabbed a tissue to dry my eyes so I could see the ring better. So, in stateroom 1209 on the Pride in the Atlantic Ocean will always hold a special place in my heart! We then booked a shopping, lunch and beach tour for Freeport.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and Thank you for the great trip report.

I'm sailing on the Pride again in Sept. - love this ship and can never get my fill of Pride trip reports. What did you think of the excursion you took? I never know what to do in Freeport.

Will be looking forward to your honeymoon cruise report !

Great review, it brought back good memories of our cruise on the Pride.

Congrats on your engagement, I love your ring.

Thank you. I actually have a different ring now. My original broke! :( However, the original was made into a beautiful necklace that my mom had made for me! So now I have an engagement ring and an engagement necklace! My new ring is similar (purple heart) but the purple is just a touch darker and the setting is a little lower so the heart doesn't stick out so far.

Freeport was okay. We did the city tour, shopping, lunch and beach excursion. I was able to get some nice souvenirs (and a killer pair of earrings!) but neither I nor my fiance is really a beach person so we went to the beach for literally five minutes just to take pictures. The tour showed some mansions, which are pretty neat and our bus driver was funny and it was cool listening to his accent, but obviously this tour was pretty low key. We originally didn't have a tour booked because we had one in Nassau, but Nassau was canceled due to high winds in Florida, so we had to scramble to book this tour in Freeport.

I'm going to go all out for my honeymoon cruise report! Food porn and everything! :D

When we headed to our room to check it out, our luggage was waiting for us outside the door. Here are a few pictures of our room. We had stateroom 1209 on the Riviera Deck. It was an oceanview room.

What is that brown bag looking thing I always see on the beds in cabin pictures?

LOL! It is just a luggage mat thing. The point of it is when you are unpacking, you can have your suitcase on the bed and not get the crisp, white (comfy!) Carnival duvet dirty! I don't think we used it.

Awww, thank you for your kind words! I can't WAIT for the honeymoon cruise. Looking forward to it more than the wedding. LOL!

Purple is my favorite color and as this is my second marriage, I wanted something a little different (and he listened :D).

So, I just happened to come across your thread. I was on the PRIDE the same week as you. We stayed in cabins 1115 and 1117.. I don't know if you got the cruise video or watched it on the TV's but my family was taped quite a bit. My sister was the one with the bright red hair(dyed). Due to the circumstances of the weather problem we are now taking our kids on the PRIDE again in Sept. Just another reason to take another cruise:D.. We are thinking about doing the airboat and alligator tour in FL so the pics will come in handy in making that decidion.. Congratulations on your engagement..
