Is missing Le Havre port common?

I would be concerned if plans were made to disembark in Le Havre to continue to Paris, and we didn't even get there in the first place. Should I be worried for a May sailing?

Very uncommon. LeHavre is a major commercial port that has a pretty sheltered port good for most weather conditions. It would take a major storm or very high winds for you to miss this port.

I'm broadly inclined to agree with Hank

The port itself is fine weather-wise.

French fishermen have had a habit of blockading Channel ports whenever the people wanted to demonstrate against their government. & that's fouled up ferries in the past, I don't know about cruise ships. But, touch wood, they've behaved themselves for a number of years.

No port-of-call is guaranteed, but Le Havre is about as safe as they come.
