name spelling on boarding passes

They have misspelled 2 of the people names going with us. Both times I've noticed it I have called and sat on the phone for a long while. I just noticed the spelling on one of the names is back to the misspelled version. I'm tired of calling. The name is right but the spelling is wrong. Do I have to call again or will no calling delay boarding?

If a call needs to be made do I have to be the one on the phone since I made the reservation or can the person call themselves.

You need to contact either your Travel Agent that you booked from or Carnival............and stay on the phone until you talk to someone. A misspelled name on a boarding pass could prevent you from sailing. My brother's partner wasn't allowed to board 2 years ago on the Carnival Triumph because his last name was misspelled. Defeinitely don't let this ruin your vacation :o

You might try to logon to the Carnival website and check your booking number. If you can login and also check your current booking (your 6 digit reservation#) hopefully you can also corrrect any spelling errors.

Hope that works.

By all means get it corrected!

Thanks, I did try that but only the middle name is able to be edited for some reason.

I know this is an older post, but I ran into while searching... I just wondered if you ever got it fixed/had any problems? We are sailing in 19 days and all the spelling is correct on everything from our travel agent, but on the carnival.com boarding pass, hubby's name is missing a letter. It won't let me change it

You need to contact your TA and tell them of the misspelled name ASAP. The TA has to contact with Carnival and have the name spelled correctly. The name on the boarding pass must be spelled the same as your passport/photo id & birth certificate.

I would call Carnival directly.

Hi gkstormy.

Is it the last letter in hubby's name that's missing?

We have this problem with my husband's name as Carnival apparently has limited characters so all communications, S&S cards, boarding passes, etc. all have the last letter of his name missing.

I had a heart attack the first time we sailed with Carnival and got our printed boarding passes (remember those days?) and his first name was missing the last letter. Our TA at the time had been VERY insistent that we ensure there were no errors in spelling during booking. When I called to report the error to my TA she told me that it is correct in Carnival's system so there wouldn't be any issues boarding despite my concern.

We had no issues for that cruise and I did notice that on all documentation for our up-coming cruise, the same letter is missing!

But still, it's worth the effort to contact Carnival and double check. Let us know how it turns out!

Jill
