Arranging a meeting

The folks on the QM2 May 4 crossing are rallying around for our trip. Can anyone with previous experience give us an idea of a good time to plan a meeting. Not knowing the daily sched. when would you suggest we try for a meet? Commodore Club? First full day at sea? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks Linda

Don't meet on the day of embarkation like we did (April 2nd) as people are too tired/busy/don't show up. Also pick a time when the bar is open to help melt the ice.

Commodore lounge or the chart room are good venues.

We have sailed twice on the QM2 and both times met at 11 AM on the first full day at sea. Both times we had a good turnout from the Cruise Critic group. Other groups have met at 2 PM. Meeting late morning or in the afternoon doesn't interfere with early or late seatings for dinner. After our first meeting, part of the group met informally for tea in the Queens Room on other days. Our first group met in the Chart Room and our second group met in the Champagne Bar. I think the Commodore Club would also be a good choice.

We agree that embarkation day isn't a good choice. Also, choose a part of the lounge like outside the Board Room or outside Churchills, otherwise like us, we end up meeting by accident after hearing someone wonder where everyone is. Right Ladies?

Have a great sailing,

I always suggest meeting the first sea day on a crossing at 11:30AM in the Library, then going to lunch in the dining room. It's worked well a few times, and, our little group on the 5/22 westbound crossing have agreed to meeting at that time.
