Kids signing themsevles out of HAL kids club

I just found out that Holland America allows children over the age of 7 to sign themselves out of the kids club.

 

Does anyone know if there is a way to require an adult to sign out my 8 year old?

Not true. You must be at least eight years old to sign yourself out. If you do not feel comfortable with this, simply decline to authorize this option, and the staff will not allow your child to sign themselves out.

And you make it perfectly clear to your child that he/she is not to leave the club (or club activity) unless you or your spouse come to pick them up. And clearly deliniate the consequences that will occur if they do leave w/o being picked up.
