Carnival Miracle in St. Maarten, St. Lucia and St. Kitts Review with pics!

The next morning it was very windy and a bit cold. You can tell we were heading north! No problem getting a seat at the Serenity area….we got there around 8:00am and left around 10am. This morning there was a lot of talk amongst everyone about how they might miss their flight. We should be OK because our flight didn’t leave until 12:45….but this is the first time I EVER booked a flight before 1 and now I was wishing I had booked a 2:00 flight.

But we should be fine if we do indeed dis-embark at 9:30.

Went to the gym, but I was getting a bit quezy because the seas were a bit rough this morning, so I thought I would just walk the deck outside….but they blocked it off due to the high winds. We hung out on our balcony, went to lunch, made a donation to the casino. Just a laid back day. Took some photos of our final sunset.

Then went to dinner in the buffet and went to Mad Hatters for the comedy show and Phantom lounge for a “game” show. Love, Sex, Marriage. It was OK.

Went to our room early and finished packing. (We had decided we were going to self-disembark, to ensure we get off on time.)

I believe we still had to be out of our rooms by 8:30 in spite of the delay getting off the ship. We were planning on going down by 8:15 anyway, to beat the crowds in the elevators. We were told that we had to wait in certain lounge areas and NOT to be anywhere near front area especially in Atrium….so we abided and hung out in the lounge next to the Phantom lounge. Well, a woman and her husband had come by and were going to sit in the couches in front of us. Well they left, but she left her purse. We waited about half an hour to see if she would come back. So I decided to take it to guest services. I was SHOCKED at the amount of people who were in the casino and Atrium area. Anyway, I dropped off the purse, and they opened it to see if there was an ID in it, and she had her passport in it. Yikes! Of course they wanted my name in case anything was missing, I assume. She did come to the couch to see if it was there, while I was at the Guest Services and my husband and the other people sitting there told her I had just taken it to Guest Services.

Anyway, after I got back I told my husband that we could move up seeing it was packed in those areas anyway…..so we did. As we were standing in line, we over-heard someone saying, that the woman that was critically ill passed away. I’m not sure if it was true, but if it was, that is so sad. We were off the ship by 10:05 and at the airport around 10:20. So luckily it was a quick disembarkation for us.

That’s all folks! I hope you enjoyed reading about our adventure!

Happy Sailing!!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask!!

Great start! Keep it coming... I love the details and photos :D

I hope you enjoyed the rest of the review!

Those light blue rocking chairs under the Miracly sign are a great place to get a birds-eye view of the Lido deck. We tried once to get chairs around the pool area (chair hogs a'plenty), after that we just went one deck up and found all the lounges we wanted, and a great view of everything happening below.

I don't recall seeing rocking chairs?

We've always chose the later dining time; reading your review it seems like we miss out on alot of stuff during the day, and especially during 7:30p-10:00p. We usually would have just enough time after dinner to rush to the Phantom Lounge for the nightly show (trying to find seats together). Daytime has always been spent hanging on the Sun Deck.

This time I'm really going to study the Fun Times and do something other than lie in the sun. You've inspired me ;)

I LOVED Your Time Dining, you can definitely be flexible, especially if you want to go to a show at 7:30. As far as daytime, my husband would probably prefer to sit around and hang out all day too....but I just can't sit around for long periods of time....I always feel like I'm missing out on something!

Good review so far.

Do you remember who the ACD and the entertainment hosts (trivia/shipboard events) were?

Thank you.

No I don't remember their names....their were a couple of them. I know Maria was one that did some of the Trivia games.

Enjoying the review so far. Thank you!

Thanks! I hope you enjoyed the rest!

Loving your review - and great pics ! Happy Belated Birthday too !

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

we are doing the victory in 2 weeks for my 50th. same deal get there....next day bam your 50...weird.

Yeah, these darn birthdays keep popping up every year!! What's up with that??? ;) LOL

Fantastic review so far! Our family also did Bernard Tours recently, and loved it. The iguanas were definitely a great stop. :)

Yep, it was fun feeding the iguanas, although seeing all those roosters in cages kind of bothered me. I think they use them for cock fighting.

We were on the Miracle in December in "your" room and did the same itinerary. We loved it so much that I immediately went online to search for a repeat cruise on her before she relocates to NY and was so lucky. We got the same room again that we had so adored and the cruise leaves on my birthday in March. It had my name written all over it so I snatched it up at once. We had a marvelous time. It is terrific to see and read your review and enjoy refreshing my memory and getting me all the more excited for the upcoming cruise. I named the balcony the "Harris" deck after our last name because it was a deck onto itself. We spent many hours out there and watched the flying fish. So many hours that I felt like we didn't get out and see the sights on the ship as much as we could/should have. So it is extra good that we are going back again. I loved the ship and all those relaxing sea days and I loved the ports. This time we go to Antigua instead of St. Lucia so I get the adventure of a new port too. I feel so blessed to live in FL so this is a bit easier for us to do on rather short notice. I am subscribing to your review and can't wait to read more!

:D:D:D

Lucky you getting that cabin again...it is a fantastic balcony isn't it! Enjoy your cruise and Happy early birthday!!

Thanks for the review. Love the pictures.:)

Happy Belated Birthday to you. I can't believe you turned 50...looking good girlie;)

Awww, thanks!

Brandon was the ACD

Thanks for answering that.....I wasn't sure what their names were.

Thanks for the Pics and Review.

...we're soon to be on the Miracle...same ports.

That's great! Hopefully you have better weather than us...although I can't complain, it only rained for short amount of times.

Thank you for sharing and I will exchange Happy Birthdays with you!

I do have one question. I loved every minute on the ship but if there was one minor issue it was the hard and kind of lumpy bed. I know Miracle has been through drydock since we were on her. What did you think of the beds? I know you won't be able to compare pre and post drydock, but did you find them comfortable? I did sleep just fine but it could have been more comfortable. Again a minor thing....

Thanks for the birthday wishes! No I didn't find the bed hard and lumpy. I found them to be very comfortable. I don't think they got new beds in drydock.....but I'm sure some beds are more worn than others for some reason and of course some people have different requirements for a comfortable bed, too. Glad it was only a minor thing for you...nothing like a bad nights sleep!

Yes, some of those light-blue plastic chairs had curved bottoms so that they would rock. We'd sit in them in the late afternoon as they were in the only shaded area on the Sun Deck. It was a good place to people watch onto the Lido Deck below.

At 1:25 we started heading to our room, no announcement was made saying they were ready (well at least we didn’t hear any). As I said earlier, we were in room 7258. The room was average size, but the balcony was 3 balconies long. We LOVED it! It had 2 loungers and 2 chairs and a little table. We spent a lot of time out there!

Just wondering if this room can hold 3 people?

I think maybe they took those chairs out since drydock? Unless I totally missed them??

Enjoyed your review, we are looking forward to our time on the Miracle.:D

Yes, I'm pretty sure our room was for 4 people, but I am not positive.
