jeff7813 Posted February 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2012 Anyone have a recommendation for tipping on Half Moon Cay? We're on Holland American arriving on March 20th and we're the only ship. I will be taking the horseback ride and saw on some videos that there were at least 2 riders helping. I usually tip guides whenever I am on an excursion. We've also rented a clamshell. Anyone to tip there?
Kamloops50 Posted February 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2012 The gratuity is same as if you took a cruise in a port. The only question I would have , are the tour guides employee's of the cruise line?
CruiserBruce Posted February 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2012 HMC is a private island. Everybody on the island is an employee of the cruise line, unless they are a passenger. You can tip the guides or helpers. For that tour, I would bring maybe a $5. Or several dollar bills.
Typhoon1 Posted February 21, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2012 Good service deserves a good reward. The same way as you would reward the on board staff.
