Steve-N-Steph Posted February 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2012 Hi we will be in St Thomas on the Carnival Dream. We will be there from 10 to 8. Here is what we would like to do, any thoughts on if this is a doable plan? Also what would the approximate Taxi costs would be? Leave Cruiseship and head to Coki beach, spend maybe an hour there. From there head to Sapphire beach probably 2 - 3 hours. Head to Iggie's Beach Bar for a drink and a bite to eat. Last head to Paradise Point, we plan on having the taxi drop us at the top and take the tram down and walk back to the ship. So is this feasible? Will the taxi wait at Iggie's or will we be able to get a new Taxi easily towards Paradise Point? What are the taxi prices per person from place to place. There will be 7 of us in our group? Thanks!!!

Thanks!!! Great itinerary, you should be able to hit these all if all goes well. At the worst you may miss PP but that's better than missing the boat (not really :p). But first check with tour operators/drivers, you will be able to easily beat the taxi cost and have a personalized driver to boot! For taxis - Taxi dock to Coki = $10pp Taxi Coki to Sapphire = $5 - 6pp Taxi Sapphire to Iggie's = $6 - 7 Taxi Iggie's to PP = $9 -10pp The taxi will wait at Iggie's ($1/minute, first 5 minutes free). So for 15 minutes and $10 you can enjoy a couple of their great rum punches and a few songs by the water (canned music). There may be taxis stationed there if it's a busy ship day too. That is exactly the info I was looking for! We would love to hire a private tour operator as that is what we are doing on St. Martin, but at least we know the taxi is a feasible plan if that is what we end up with. Do you have any tour operators or drivers that you would recommend? Thanks Again!

We like using a private driver (for our group only) and we were happy with the gent that works at the Secret Harbor Resort. You can inquire about him through their e-mail address, just google the resort.
