What is closed on ship while in port

We will be on the Celebrity Eclipse in June on the Baltic cruise, while the ship is in port in St Petersburg for two days what will be closed, casinos, shops, bars etc.

I can't speak specifically to the Baltic, but all cruises we've been, on the shops and casinos have always been closed in port. Everything else is business as usual.

We were on the Eclipse on a Baltics cruise. I can confirm that the shops and casino are closed during the overnight stay in St Petersburg.

Usually on port days, the MDR is closed for lunch.

I'm not sure if you're asking because you're staying on the ship while in St. Petersburg. If you are, I hope you'll reconsider. Our experience there was wonderful and a tiny glimpse into a country that we would never have seen otherwise.

The "Special Features" portion of the movie "Russian Ark" will take you on a splendid tour and give you a pre-cruise introduction to St. Petersburg.

 

I recommend the movie too. It is a tour of the Hermitage -- a bit slow but wonderful.
