If you're headed to the Caribbean, any steel drum ( Calypso ) music will put your mind in cruise mode. It's sad that Carnival no longer has a live steel drum band playing music on the Lido deck.:( I'm planning to have plenty of Calypso music loaded on my ipod for our next cruise.:D

 

I agree..... I miss the steel drum band and the Midnight Buffet the most.

"Come Sail Away" by Styx, and a good song to get you in the mood for snorkeling, if that's on your plans this cruise, is "Octopus's Garden" by the Beatles.:D

It's a bit bubble gum but I like to start my cruise with Rhythm of the Ocean by Hawaiian Style Band. I discovered this song several years ago after we booked our Spirit to Hawaii cruise. It was one of two songs playing in the background on the Waikiki Beach web cam page and I just fell in love with it.

 

Like I said it's pure pop but give it a listen.....I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. :)
