As completely awful as it sounds, there are some that did and this is just appalling and uncalled for. No matter what I think of Heald's facebook and blog, knowing that someone said nasty things about his child makes me absolutely sick to my stomach.

There are some nasty people out there...nasty. I don't know how they live with themselves.

But what I do know is the fact that John ( whom I personally have nothing against ) should not be involved in anything that is discussed on this or any other cruise board.

 

If someone from this board confronted John about this situation he should have just told them that he doesn't get involved in cruiseboard dicussions and left it at that.

 

Unless it is something that is directly involving you and your cruise alone what's the point in involving John with it, why drag him into something that is not even any of your own business.

Looong story but in short someone left a comment on his blog page. In it they talked about the food and made a nasty little crack

about Healds daughter that, by the looks of her, she certainly seemed to enjoy the food.

Heald could have ignored or erased this comment which no one reads anyway. Instead he went ballistic and this

was the main topic of the next few blogs and probably his Face book site as well.

As usual a thread was begun here on CC on this issue. I made the comment that what this person said was rude and nasty

but that Heald made it a big issue by repeatedly blogging about it. Finally some troll reposted my comments leaving

out my opinions about the woman who made the nasty comment about his daughter.(Got all this?)

He then went nuts again . Now I am used as example with others (hello Halo and Golfadj) as CC vermin.

I've come to the conclusion that it matters not that he posts this nonsense, just that he gets hits on his page from it. Or increased activity.

Stu I agree a MILLION percent. His kid is adorable and anyone saying anything nasty about a child is just sad.....SO, he should have understood the comment as the trash that it was an DELETED it and never mentioned it again.

When stupid crap gets brought to him from here (and there is always plenty of that) he should delete it and not mention it again.

if he did this often enough, people would stop bringing crap to him and it would end.

I've been on threads with the OP for quite a few years now, and I don't believe for a second that she deliberately lied about the lists; however, I also know that she has a history of "misinterpreting" things she has read and I think that this is probably what happened in this situation.

OMG, I tried sooooooo hard, but I just can't do it when my character is being maligned. One of the things I do well is read! I am a first grade teacher, with a master's degree as a reading specialist and at the dissertation stage in the same field. My reading and comprehension skills are excellent. There was absolutely no space on this form for signatures of guests, there were plus and minus signs and HANDWRITTEN notes in blue ink, cursive, which gave me a doubletake because everybody seems to print nowadays, about the gratuities.

No, it is definitely not worth 358 postings, nor over 17,000 people just checking in to see what is being said. At this point I feel the whole thread should be locked, this is a first ever for me to say, because what is the value of folks arguing over whether I saw this list or not. My goal was simply to say, yes the stewards do know you have removed your tips, nothing more and nothing less. It was NOT a statement about the value of their work or anything else.

Everyone who has posted on this thread has contributed to having it continue. Including those who have griped about how many posts & how this thread should not have lasted so long. Which may be my new definition of "paradox." You have more reason to be posting on this thread than anyone else, as far as I'm concerned.
