Help! OBC question.

Recommended Posts

I was hoping to get an answer from the experienced carnival cruisers here.

I booked an early saver rate using a TA for a cruise this month. After i booked the prices went down and i spoke to my TA who got me the difference as OBC. My TA also told me that the OBC should show up on the first day of my cruise on my on-board account.

I called carnival and the people i spoke with are not able to confirm the OBC or the amount.

Now this is my question.

1. Should i have some proof from my TA about the OBC to take with me on my cruise?

Or does the OBC automatically show up on my on board account?

Since i have no prior experience with OBC on carnival i thought i would ask on this board.

Thanks in advance for all responses.

I always book through Carnival, and also had OBC on my last cruise. I was also nervous about it not being there when I arrived, but it was. The first thing I did when I got to my room was check my folio and there it was. :D I would probably take some documentation to be safe, even if I dont need it I would feel better just having it.

Enjoy!!

Anybody who got their OBC through their TA have any experience with this?

When I get a price drop I get a new confirmation from my PVP or maybe its from Carnival confirming the OBC which can be printed out.

I would ask for confirmation in writing from your TA showing the OBC. If Carnival can do this so can your TA.

Ask your TA to pursue written proof of OBC before you go away. It is easier to deal with a possible discrepancy now - it will be close to impossible to figure out why there are errors (if there are) while you are on the ship.
