Cjlovestocruise Posted March 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2012 No irons – Irons are a fire hazard and not allowed in your cabin. There are irons in the laundry rooms.
IslandToIsland Posted March 3, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2012 There are no irons in the room, but there are laundry rooms with irons usually on each floor.

HeartNP Posted March 3, 2012 #11 Share Posted March 3, 2012 I had a travel iron on my RCCL cruise, can't imagine not having one next month when I sail on Carnival! Is there any way to "smuggle" one on? I know about the fire hazzard, but I am an extreme "saftey person" (okay, OCD!), and would never leave it plugged in or anything... mine is really small, would they check my luggage for it? I laugh at the people trying to smuggle alcohol onboard, but here I am trying to smuggle an iron!!! LOL!! thanks.
matj2000 Posted March 3, 2012 #12 Share Posted March 3, 2012 I have used irons for more than 30 years and have never started a fire. When did they become a "safety issue"?
Sauer-kraut Posted March 3, 2012 #13 Share Posted March 3, 2012 I had a travel iron on my RCCL cruise, can't imagine not having one next month when I sail on Carnival! LOL!! thanks. Right, just hope it won't show up in the xray so that it is confiscated. I can't believe an iron is that big a deal for you, there are public ones on board that have a safety feature so that there is NO CHANCE of causing a fire. Please, leave the iron at home. Maybe packing more travel friendly clothing and steaming it in the bathroom with the shower running would be a better idea.

spleenstomper Posted March 3, 2012 #15 Share Posted March 3, 2012 If you are an iron freak, then DO NOT cruise. Cruising is NOT for you.
