Allure of the seas Formal night

Hi,

We are travelling on the Allure (eastern) and as we are coming from Australia it is not convenient to bring cocktail dresses & suits. Does anyone know what nights are formal nights? Is it only formal attire in the main restaurant as we would like to try the Samba grill and formal night would be a good night to do so if it is not formal?:)

The first formal night is always the second night and the second formal night may vary with itinerary, but generally it will be on day 5 or 6. Formal attire is suggested but few dress "formal", especially on the second night, and the dress code is not really enforced unless you are wearing shorts or hats (and maybe not then). With that being said, the dress code in specialty restaurants is always smart casual.

You don't have to dress all that formally in order to eat in the MDR. If your husband wears a collared shirt with a tie and nice pants, he will be just fine (he can even skip the tie). You can wear a more casual dress, or nice pants with a sparkly top. Less than formal, but still presentable (which is similar to the dress suggestions for the alternate restaurants). I would estimate that 10-15% of cruisers are dressed this way in the MDR on formal night.

If you wore the same outfit on both formal nights, no one would notice or care.
