miroku Posted May 25, 2017 #26 Share Posted May 25, 2017 Many thanks for your comments. Did you find that small cafes in these countries would take euros, say for example, a couple of coffees?
jeb_bud Posted May 25, 2017 #27 Share Posted May 25, 2017 We never had any problems paying with euros. The exchange rate was definitely in their favor but for small transactions it was worth it to avoid the hassle of buying and selling local currency. H2Otstr Posted May 25, 2017 #29 Share Posted May 25, 2017 Miroku, just tuck a $5 and a $10 bill in your purse and if you find that you have to have local currency just go to an exchange booth. Then you can leave any extra currency as the end-of-the-trip tip.
