treasure4two Posted March 4, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 4, 2012 one lump sum, which I was added on the second day . I just got off the Splendor on Feb. 26, 2012 and it was one lump sum on the 2nd day. $80.50 per person for 7 day cruise. Other cruise lines may do it different, but this is what Canival is doing now. UpstateCruizer Posted March 4, 2012 #12 Share Posted March 4, 2012 Ours has always been one lump sum and it shows up on the second day of the cruise. It's never been broken down by days so I'm not sure where the "reliables" are getting their info :) We check our folio through out the cruise. I actually like seeing it come out right from the start. We always have OBC from owning stock as well as our FCC and often from ES price drops. It's nice to see the money taken out early so we know what's left over :)
tandemcruzr Posted March 4, 2012 #13 Share Posted March 4, 2012 Paradise and Legend in January, one lump sum. As I recall, that's the way it has been on all 9 of our Carnival cruises.

H82seaUgo Posted March 4, 2012 #18 Share Posted March 4, 2012 Why would they add it on a daily basis? Does not make sense to me. actually, from an impact standpoint, it would. most people who don't expect it freak out when they see it in one lump sum. kinda like those ads that say life insurance is only 35¢ a day, but when they get the annual bill,

Froufie Posted March 4, 2012 #23 Share Posted March 4, 2012 I don't believe this is an 'opinion' question - it's a fact that the tips are added to your account in a lump sum on the 2nd or 3rd day of the cruise....you can always call Carnival and ask when/how they add on the tips! Not sure what anyone else's opinion has to do withi this?
klmorg Posted March 4, 2012 #24 Share Posted March 4, 2012 None of the above for pre-paid gratuities. Makes for a much smaller S&S bill.:D Nothing shows up either daily or lump-sum on the S&S account if pre-paid.
