room service on embarkation day

Hi - After traveling across country we should board the Coral around 2pm or so- it will have been a long day for both of us, especially Mom (87). Will I be able to order a snack from room service or will I have to run to the buffet. We will probably need something while we have a little rest before dinner. The airline says we will get a hot breakfast and "refreshments", but our travel day will be a long one. Any info?

Room service did not open till about 3 PM for delivery on the Island, I will assume the coral being similar. A lot of the room service staff will bve helping with the heavy buffet load and embarkation activities, so even if they do open allow for longer times.

Schedules are disrupted on turnaround day. There is no room service in the morning for departing passengers and it start mid to late afternoon for the new passengers.

Thanks- a friend told me to load up on the little snacks that they offer on the plane in 1st class- the nuts, pretzels, and cookies should be plenty if we need a bite.
