Advice please on HAL's Cruise Tour D7T on Zaandam

We have limited cruising experience (small boat cruising the Greek isles and Turkey in 2010 on Variety, which we loved), and this will be our first time on a large boat. We're traveling with close friends, and the wife of the other couple has severe RA with limited mobility. We thought staying at a resort for two plus days (Alyeshka) would be a good break for her between buses, trains, etc. and then the cruise afterwards.

 

Anyone taken this HAL Cruise tour (D7T)? How is the weather "generally" in late August into early September? Would appreciate feedback if you're familiar with the Zaandam and Alyeshka. TIA!
