Do you remember the table number you had for the table for two that you liked? We are also doing YTD and would love to ask for it. We found one like this on our Valor cruise and asked for the table each night.

I remember the first one - 227 (I remembered because of the tv show, LOL) but not the other good one we had - but you can say you are ok with the ones around the staircases as well - they are similar. There aren't a lot - maybe 8 total like this, so you may have a wait - but if you're like us, we were FINE with waiting for these.

227. Don't ask me how I remember that but I do :o.

Going to start writing up Cozumel now. It will be picture heavy as we got some great shots of the port area and Mr. Sanchos.

Thanks for the info. We usually eat early but if we have to wait we'll do that. We have steakhouse reservations for the first night to celebrate our 20th anniversary but the 2nd night on out we'll be in the MDR. Thanks again for all the help and for this great review.:)
Ha ha ha, touche, but I don't want to hijack this review. I am really enjoying it and I apologize to Chris and Cass for bogging it down with sports banter.
Its not easy being a Hawks fan in Hockeytown.....Wings need to pick it up to regain some playoff home ice.....

First off, let me say thank you for all the kind words. It's nice to know you guys are enjoying reading our silly review as much as we are enjoying reliving our cruise.

Monday - Cozumel -

Today was a pretty early port but since we were doing an AI at Mr. Sanchos, we were not in a terrible hurry to get off the ship first thing. We ordered room service and took our time eating and getting ready. Our balcony was looking toward the port so I took some early pictures.

We headed down to the port to look around at 9 (8 am Cozumel time).

Cozumel has a really nice port area with shops and stands. The merchants aren't pushy but they will stand outside and ask you to come in. A polite no is enough.

It was already starting to get warm so we decided to get going to Mr. Sanchos. Beyond the shops is the taxi area and they have prices posted to all the AI's and beaches in the area so you know you won't get ripped off.

Now we had debated between Nachi and Mr. Sanchos but after seeing some new pictures of the improved AI side, we went with Sanchos.

After about a 10 or so minute ride we arrived at Mr. Sanchos. We booked online with a $5 pp. The $40 pp balance was paid in person and we were able to grab a seat wherever we wanted. With the AI, you are allowed to sit wherever which was great since we did not know that included the cabanas.

This is their AI only pool and swim up bar.

There were about 7-8 cabanas in total and only a few were taken when we got there.

We're now down the beach to the pay as you go side. Still nice, but not as great as the AI.

By this time the sun was out and we were getting warm. Ready to enjoy some swim up bar goodies. There were a few ladies from New Jersey who seemed to have started pretty early on the swing seats. They suggest we go with the Sancho's Surprise. Why the hell not, it's all free at this point. Our bartender, Jersy (we asked, that's his real name), was fantastic. He made us up a couple drinks that we both enjoyed.
Really great review ! Thanks for doing it.

I have a question, where those taxi prices listed per person ?
i think they are per trip but wanted to verify. Also, did they charge you the same for the return trip?
Per trip (up to 4 people I think) and it was the same each way.

So let me say this about Mr. Sanchos. You NEVER have to wait for a drink. Your drinks wait for you. Jersy had them ready for us when we still had about 20% left and just kept telling us to chug the rest so we could start the new.

There were two other ladies in the AI pool with us and Cass over heard them (eavesdropped), say they were from San Diego. Well I love San Diego and started up a conversation with them. As it turns out they are also on the board and were a part of our roll call although they only popped in once or twice. The Mom, Mary, recognized us from our review and we started talking about pretty much everything. The daughter, Hailey, and Cass really hit it off and I knew I was in trouble as these ladies can really drink.

By around noon we were both feeling pretty good and decided to get some food. We got the chips and quac as an app then I ordered the chicken quesadillas and Cass got the shrimp quesadillas.

The food was delicious and you could order as much as you wanted. And we did share some more food a little later to help absorb all the yummy drinks they kept coming.

They also had a few hammocks in the AI area.

After talking to Hailey and Mary for a few more hours we decided to share a cab ride back to the port. We did a little shopping there as there were a few merchants there. I'll just say that some of the shot glasses were......interesting.

Love your review! We are on the Liberty in August and on deck 7 interior with a window (clear at the end of the hall). Our PV told us about a secret deck outside of our room and I wondered if it was the one directly below the secret deck on Lido?? Any idea?? Also..were there any chairs out on that deck?

After at least one too many drinks for all of us it was time to head to port. We shared a taxi back (still only $15).

Back at the taxi drop off was a sign for Puerta Maya

Fat Tuesday's had a few props outside and two pretty girls playing with them brought a crowd of photographers.

I figured I'd get in on the fun.
I was considering booking a day at Mr. Sanchos...did you notice if they have chairs in the shade or under umbrellas? We are not interested in tanning or laying in the sun but still want to go to the beach.

Thanks,

Adrienne
There is plenty of shade available. Either in a cabana, or at a table with an umbrella. We were even able to find shade in the pool with the overhang from the bar.

Oh the memories you are bringing back!!! We were at Mr. Sanchos in November with our children and their wives (24, 22, and 21) I know full well how nice Jersy was about encouraging the last chug.. LOL My boys, all over 6'6" were the entertainment of the whole place..and very difficult to get back to the ship! We had a wonderful time though and would highly recommend it to anyone :)

Back on the ship we showered and grabbed a quick bite to eat. Cass finally got her sushi and I went up to the pizza bar on deck 9 aft. After the snack I for some reason went back to the room to make a drink with our Bon Voyage Captain Morgan that Cass had ordered. There was some 80's music trivia in the Venetian so we thought we'd have a chance at that. Wrong. Not enough hair metal and too much 80's pop for us to have a shot. Especially when 2 people went perfect.

We weren't feeling the MDR for dinner so we headed to Emile's for dinner. I had the jerked pork over rice and Cass had some salad, a chicken quesadilla, and a little bit of jerked pork. We forgot to take pictures and I blame Jersy :o

We ran into Mary and Hailey and made plans to meet up at the Past Guest Party Wednesday to celebrate my birthday........I'll probably let Cass deal with Wednesday since she remembers more than I do.

There was a Thriller dance class in the Casino that she really wanted to do so since we were heading to the tables, it was perfect. I don't know if she knew I was there with the camera or not.

Actually did OK at the casino this night and had fun chatting with our Friendly Beaver friends. We had an early excursion the next day in Belize so decided to not make it too late of a night. Had to be at the Venetian for our tender group at 8am so chugged some water and headed to bed.

Elephant?
