hannahsmomtoo Posted March 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Very much looking forward to our cruise despite the recent incident in Mexico. That said, what happens if something occurs ( crime / travel warning etc ) and our port is changed OR our excursion cancelled? ( Carnival excursions booked in PV and cabo ) Will we be notified and refunded? OBC? Thanks !
SadieN Posted March 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2012 You will be refunded the excursion cost for the Carnival shore excursion. Maybe you will get some OBC, maybe not for missing the port.

Im not concerned about any credit for missing a port.. Sorry I was not more clear...

If you paid for the excursion on the ship, there will be a credit on you S&S account for the amount of the excursion. When we had port changes due to a hurricane, we were notified at the beginning of the cruise with a letter in the cabin.
idraconis Posted March 12, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Cabo is in the safest state in Mexico. Spent five days there and felt every safe.

Love PalmTrees Posted March 12, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Due to Hurricane Rena, we were re-routed away from Panama on our Freedom cruise last October. We had booked an excursion through Carnival for Panama canal and had paid ahead of time on our credit card. Obviously the excursion did not take place. We were refunded the $ as OBC. I believe, any unused OBC is refunded in the form of a check the morning you disembark. Turns out I bought some artwork and spent all the OBC. :D
