Gabrielle R. Posted March 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2012 Any one have a web site that shows the number of ships in port? I am looking at Santorini and Trying to figure out how crowded it will be. Thanks!
kuldalai Posted March 14, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2012 Just enter your month and date . You may have to register to use site but it is free : http:cruisett.com/ports.php?PortID=805 There does not appear to be too much listed for Santorini for the forthcoming European Season Summer . It will change in a hurry so keep checking as the site will be updated closer in . Caveat Emptor - Some days peak season June/ July there can be 8 - 10 boats in the Caldera. Last year (2011) in late September we had 6 boats anchored off Santorini.
zqvol Posted March 14, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2012 Don't rely on any of them to even be close to accurate. In the summer of 2010 they showed two ships one of the two days we were in Santorini, by the time we sailed at midnight there had been 14 there that day. The other day we were in port that voyage they showed 4 and ended up with 10 and these numbers do not include the ferries that appeared.
texancruzer Posted March 14, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2012 I have found cruisette to be INACCURATE more than accurate...... I use cruisecal.com - I buy a one month subscription for $3.00 and then let it expire. Hasn't been wrong yet for me.
RandB_Toronto Posted March 14, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2012 I've looked at http://www.cruisetimetables.com/ for our upcoming cruises, but have no idea if it is accurate or not. We'll see when we get there!
Anapli Posted March 14, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 14, 2012 Cruisecal gives some data for free.. example.. if you want see what other ships will be in the same ports go to "Itinerary Lookup".. at the drop down menu select your ship and click on Find dates button... find your date depart and click on "Display" link.. at the right side you will see the itinerary and what other ships will be with yours in ports. I Google the port and see what they say, that is the most accurate. Not sure how that works for Santorini as it has no docks :D.
