mirage2u Posted March 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2012 I like to stay away from the tourist traps and 'chain' resturants and get a real feel of the local way of food, life and culture. Where is the best place you have eaten here and what did you eat? Bonus points for pics!!!!
curacaoqueen Posted March 28, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2012 Try the Old market, Plasa Biew (sp), really good local food and cheap.
curacaoqueen Posted March 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2012 We ate at the Goal, not far from the tender. Can't remember what we had but is was really good and the prices were good too.
Rare crewsweeper Posted March 28, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2012 In Georgetwon, look for Tony's Jerk Food on Eastern Avenue near soccer stadium. Tiny hole-in-the-wall full of locals. Or if you're driving around near the east end. ask for directions to Vivine's. And close to Boddentown, coming from the east end there's Chester's Fried Fish. Look for a pink house then a house with white tires next tot a wood working place.
2-laner Posted March 29, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 29, 2012 We ate at Vivine's this past January. Excellent food and a view you can't beat.
TurtleTagger Posted March 29, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 29, 2012 Grape Tree Cafe in Bodden Town. On the beach, but you'll need to buy any adult beverages at the nearby liquor store. http://grapetreecafe.ky/

2-laner Posted April 4, 2012 #10 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Wasnt planning on it but why? You might have to forget about Vivine's. It is on the east side of the island away from the crowds and bus routes. We stopped there for lunch while with Cayman Safari tours.
