legalwife Posted April 2, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2012 Just off the phone and CCL is as of today discontinuing the ability to get a Future Cruise Certificate when you return for the ships that don't sell them on board. This would be for the Victory, the Sensation, and I believe the Imagination. In the past, you could call within a certain number of days and purchase by telephone when you returned. Agent just told me today is the first day of this new rule.
ready2cruzagain Posted April 2, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2012 Personally, I would call Carnival again and speak to a different agent especially since it is not posted anywhere that it would be changing. This agent could be misinformed which happens all the time at Carnival.

cruiztime Posted April 4, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Just off the Victory and I was told I could not purchase a FCC either. Agent told me "no exceptions" and that the policy changed in March. She said there was a company wide "memo" sent out. I get emails from CCL almost everyday to book another cruise, they didn't send me an email about this change. :(
Lola1210 Posted April 7, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 7, 2012 The same thing happened to me. I was on the Legend from 4/18 - 4/25 and thought that I could purchase it at home so I waited. I called Carnival on 4/26 and was told that they had to be purchased on board. I wish that they would have informed us about the change. They told me that there are no exceptions. rudechuck Posted April 11, 2012 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2012 John Heald confirmed this on his facebook page today. Has it ever been explained why these three ships do not offer the FCC?

With the exceptions of the three ships mentioned earlier, you could only buy FCCs on board. There was no change to inform you of.

BeccaBecca1713 Posted April 11, 2012 #10 Share Posted April 11, 2012 How hard is it for Carnival to set up a desk and a staff person on those 3 ships? I find it ridiculous that those ships somehow can't sell FCCs. What gives? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
golfadj Posted April 11, 2012 #11 Share Posted April 11, 2012 John Heald confirmed this on his facebook page today. Has it ever been explained why these three ships do not offer the FCC? that is peculiar that those ships do not have fcc desk.
Bigal1017 Posted April 11, 2012 #12 Share Posted April 11, 2012 I talked to my PVP and was told this is due to abuses over the phone ... blah ... blah .... blah. He also told me after these ships are upgraded they will sell FCC. I guess those of us sailing on these ships are not as valuable to Carnival as those who sail on other ships. So I guess Carnival would prefer we sail with another line.
